CAN 2025: Return of 3 of the 18 Senegalese detained in Morocco on May 14, a welcome party is being prepared in Dakar

Three of the 18 Senegalese supporters detained in Morocco following the incidents during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, Abdoulaye Dieng, Ibrahima Diop, and Aziz Wade, are expected to return to Dakar on May 14, 2026. A welcome ceremony is planned at Blaise Diagne International Airport, with strong mobilization from their relatives and friends. Senegalese authorities are continuing efforts to secure the release of the 15 other supporters still in detention.
