CAN 2027: a change of host country considered due to delays?

The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from June 19 to July 17, is to be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, according to CAF. During a recent inspection in East Africa, Patrice Motsepe acknowledged delays in key infrastructure works, including stadiums and training grounds, but affirmed that the tournament will still take place in these three countries. There is no official indication that countries like Morocco, Algeria, or South Africa have been considered as replacements. CAF emphasizes there is no plan B or C, and the upcoming months are critical to meet the deadline.
