CAN 2027: Morocco, South Africa, and Algeria, the three options in case of relocation

The African Football Confederation (CAF) is considering three countries—Morocco, South Africa, and Algeria—as potential options to relocate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations due to delays in preparations initially scheduled in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Morocco, with 16 FIFA-approved stadiums and experience hosting international events, is seen as a leading alternative. CAF, facing an urgent situation, has no backup plans but acknowledges the need for quick solutions. The tournament was originally set to be hosted in these East African countries, but infrastructure delays have raised concerns.
