CAN 2027 (Q): “difficult to understand the logic of CAF”, the schedule causes discontent among African coaches

The African Football Confederation (CAF) has faced criticism from African coaches regarding the scheduling of the CAN 2027 qualifiers. Claude Le Roy, coach of Congo, expressed his confusion over CAF's logic, noting that teams had very little time to prepare for their matches. The first two rounds of qualifiers are set between September 24 and 30, while FIFA had merged the September and October international windows to optimize the schedule.
