Cane farmers earnings hit Sh33bn as deliveries surge 52.3pc

Kenyan sugarcane farmers earned approximately Sh33.5 billion in the seven months to July, as cane deliveries surged by 52.3%, from 4.12 million to 5.94 million tonnes. This increase boosted domestic sugar output to 528,874 tonnes, helping to lower consumer prices.
