Cape Town teenager turns two crashes into freeride victory in Chile

Thirteen-year-old skier Julia Whitaker from Cape Town secured first place at the IFSA La Parva 2-Star Junior Freeride Competition in Chile, following two crashes at a previous event. Her performance showcased impressive control of the terrain, earning her a total of 34.47 points, including 7.40 in the Style category. Despite challenging conditions and an unusual path for a young South African athlete, she demonstrated remarkable resilience by getting back up after her falls.
