Carrick to Remain Man Utd Boss for Chelsea Clash – Reports

Michael Carrick is expected to remain Manchester United manager for Saturday’s away match against Chelsea, according to the BBC, Sky Sports and the Press Association. His future had been uncertain after eight games without a win, including a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth that left United one point above the relegation zone. The BBC reports that the club’s hierarchy intends to give him a chance to turn the season around. Appointed in May on a two-year deal after reviving United as caretaker manager, Carrick led the club to third place and a return to the Champions League.
