The Court of Arbitration for Sport expects to rule at the end of November 2026 on Senegal’s appeal against the removal of its Africa Cup of Nations title in favour of Morocco. The hearing took place behind closed doors in Lausanne on October 8, and the arbitrators are continuing their deliberations on a reasoned ruling. Senegal won the January 18 final in Rabat 1-0 through Pape Gueye’s extra-time goal, after play was halted for almost 20 minutes amid protests over a penalty awarded to Morocco. In March, CAF overturned the result, awarding Morocco a 3-0 victory and the title.
