Case of 50 million: How investigators brought down Abdoulaye Cissé Sabaly, one year later

Abdoulaye Cissé Sabaly, wanted for embezzling 50 million CFA francs, was arrested on August 29, 2026, at the Rosso border thanks to the Securport system. He had been subject to a travel ban since November 4, 2025. Following his arrest, he was taken to the central police station in Saint-Louis before being re-incarcerated at the Mbao police station for the investigation.
