The Cavally region has 5,740 people living with HIV on antiretroviral treatment, while 96 HIV-positive patients receiving treatment have been lost to follow-up. The figures were presented on October 28, 2026, in Guiglo at a meeting of the Regional HIV/AIDS Committee chaired by prefect Boka Kouassi Vincent. Regional Health Director Dr. Jules Galla Bi Koffi said all pregnant women diagnosed with HIV had been placed on treatment and that their viral suppression rate was 100%. Officials called for collective action to make progress toward the “three 95” targets.
