Celestial Christianity Church: A Difficult but Possible Reunification

Former Beninese President Patrice Talon recently met with the diaspora and celestial dignitaries to address the crisis of the Celestial Christianity Church (ECC), founded in 1947. Following succession disputes that divided the community, a transitional council was established in 2025 to unify rival factions. Despite progress, challenges remain, including resistance from Reverend Friday Oshoffa and dioceses abroad, who fear for their privileges.
