Cervical Cancer: Ivory Coast Records 2,540 New Cases Each Year

In Ivory Coast, 2,540 new cases of cervical cancer are recorded each year, accounting for 12.4% of all cancers. To combat this disease, a National Plan for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer has been established for 2025-2030, aiming to vaccinate 90% of girls aged 9 and screen 55% of women aged 30 to 49. Early screening is essential to identify precancerous lesions and improve treatment chances.
