Ceuta: Authorities on alert for possible new migratory influx

In Ceuta, Spanish authorities are anticipating a new massive influx of irregular migrants on September 23, coinciding with Morocco's legislative elections. Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares announced the activation of preventive measures. Moroccan authorities also conducted a simulation exercise for managing an influx near the border, involving nearly 200 agents. Currently, it is estimated that over 10,000 migrants are in the enclave, with only 4,000 housed in public facilities.
