Chad: 22 firearms seized during security forces operation

On September 26, 2026, Chadian security forces conducted a raid in Nguéli and Walia, in the 9th district of N’Djamena, seizing 22 AK-47 rifles, grenade launchers, prohibited weapons, as well as narcotics and counterfeit drinks. Eight individuals were detained, six suspected of possessing war weapons, and one caught in the act of transporting drugs. The suspects were handed over to authorities for further investigation into the possession and distribution of these weapons and illegal items.
