Chad: a man reportedly killed with arrows in an ambush

On the evening of Tuesday, October 6, in Keuni canton, Pala area, three men returning from a hunt were ambushed by unidentified individuals. Two managed to escape, but a man in his forties was hit multiple times with arrows and died while trying to reach his home. The attackers fled towards Djim-Djim, and an investigation has been launched. This incident raises security concerns in the region, which has previously experienced violence, including a June 2025 attack in Oregomel that resulted in at least 17 deaths and 17 injuries.
