Chelsea beat Man Utd 2-0, push Carrick closer to exit

Chelsea beat Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, leaving the Red Devils winless in nine league games. Morgan Rogers opened the scoring in the 50th minute, then Lisandro Martinez was sent off after receiving two yellow cards, with the second leading to a penalty converted by Cole Palmer. United missed several first-half chances and remain one point above the relegation zone, at risk of ending the weekend in the bottom three. The defeat increases pressure on Michael Carrick after last weekend’s 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.
