Child Marriage: 35.1% of Girls Affected in Côte d'Ivoire (CCDG)

In Côte d'Ivoire, 35.1% of girls are married before the age of 18, according to data from the CCDG presented at a national workshop on gender-based violence. The workshop brought together justice and police officials to discuss prevention and support for victims. Statistics also reveal that 26.6% of women experience domestic violence and 36.7% undergo female genital mutilation in the country.
