China Conducts Coast Guard Patrols and Marine Geophysical Survey in the Taiwan Island waters

China has announced the completion of coast guard patrols and a marine geophysical survey in waters east of Taiwan Island. The China Coast Guard (CCG) has strengthened control over these waters since August 2026 to ensure orderly navigation and protect legitimate rights and interests. Meanwhile, the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources conducted a survey of the seabed, collecting data on topography, geological structures, and geophysical fields.
