China hands over new ECOWAS headquarters to sub-regional bloc

China handed over the ECOWAS Headquarters building in Abuja on Tuesday, symbolizing friendship and regional cooperation with West Africa. Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, stated that the project marked a historic moment in the three-decade relationship between China and ECOWAS. ECOWAS Commission President Dr. Omar Touray expressed appreciation for the support, emphasizing that the new headquarters would enhance the implementation of regional decisions on trade and security.
