China to free Southern African countries from 'Big Pharma,' by assisting them to produce own medicine

China will assist Southern African countries in establishing pharmaceutical factories to produce their own medicines, reducing dependence on Western pharmaceutical giants. This initiative, supported by UNAIDS and SADC, is being advanced through strategic exchanges between Chinese representatives and SADC countries. The goal is to strengthen regional pharmaceutical production capacity by promoting technology transfer and innovation.
