Chinese electric vehicle (EV) exports surged 40 percent in April, reaching 278,081 units. Since the beginning of the year, overseas sales have totaled 893,852 vehicles. Asia was the largest importing region, followed by Europe and Latin America. Despite restrictions imposed by the United States and the European Union, China remains the largest global manufacturer of EVs, accounting for about 75 percent of worldwide production.
