Cholera outbreak not over despite decline in cases - NCDC warns

The Director-General of the NCDC, Dr. Jide Idris, reported a decline in cholera cases in Nigeria, with over 65,000 suspected cases reported in 35 states since the beginning of the year. Despite this decline, he warned that the outbreak is not over and infections could rise between August and October due to the rainy season. Idris emphasized the need for investment in water, sanitation, and hygiene to prevent future outbreaks.
