CJF condemns abduction of Sapele Council Chairman, Abeke

The Concerned Journalists Forum (CJF) condemned the abduction of Sapele Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Bright Afure Abeke, by gunmen. In a statement, CJF expressed concern over the rising crime rate in Delta State and called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to demand better commitment from Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi. CJF also noted the erosion of public trust in government institutions responsible for protecting citizens.
