Clemens Westerhof diagnosed with colon cancer and in critical condition

Former Super Eagles coach Clemens Westerhof has been diagnosed with colon cancer and is in critical condition at Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem, the Netherlands. His wife, Lilian, said he was admitted on Wednesday and had already been battling Alzheimer’s disease. She voiced concern about his care and hopes to move him to a better-equipped hospital in Amsterdam or Germany. Westerhof led Nigeria to its first World Cup in 1994 and to victory at the Africa Cup of Nations that year.
