Clément Atangana: the funeral of the former President of the Constitutional Council took place in France

Died on October 4, 2026, at the age of 85 at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Clément Atangana, former President of the Cameroonian Constitutional Council, was laid to rest in France on October 14. His body will be transferred to Yaoundé for funeral ceremonies, including at the General Hospital of Yaoundé and official tributes recognizing his judicial career and traditional leadership in Ngomedzap. He held several key judicial positions in Cameroon before being appointed head of the Constitutional Council in 2018, notably validating the results of the 2018 and 2025 presidential elections.
