Clerical jobs stage a comeback as banks expand branches

Kenya's banking sector is experiencing a renewed demand for clerical workers as lenders expand their branch networks. Data from the Central Bank of Kenya indicates that clerical employment rose by 21.3% in 2025, reaching 14,757 positions, an increase of 2,588 from the previous year. This marks the largest annual increase in this category since 2013.
