Cleverly quits shadow cabinet to run for London mayor

Conservative MP Sir James Cleverly has announced his resignation from the shadow cabinet to run for mayor of London. He informed Tory leader Kemi Badenoch of his decision to step down as shadow housing secretary to focus on the race.
