Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana have expanded their cocoa alliance (CIGCI) to include Nigeria and Cameroon during a summit in Abidjan on June 16, 2026. Presidents Alassane Ouattara and John Dramani Mahama announced the expansion to strengthen the bargaining power of African producers against multinationals.
