Cocoa price at 1,200 FCFA: OIA Café-Cacao opposes announced strike by producers

During a press conference on September 8, 2026, Obed Doua Blondé, spokesperson for OIA Café-Cacao, condemned the intention of some producers to strike due to the low cocoa price. He emphasized that the price of 1,200 FCFA is a supportive measure from the Ivorian government in light of the global market collapse.
