El Hadj Bakayo Vamara, president of SYNARFA-CI, expressed his deep indignation following the maintenance of the farm gate price of cocoa at 1,200 FCFA/kg. He believes this price does not meet the expectations of producers and opens the door to cocoa trafficking to neighboring countries. Vamara emphasizes that producers facing high costs may be tempted to sell their cocoa where they are better compensated.
