Cocoa: "Some would have wanted higher prices, but we chose the truth" Bruno Koné

At the closing of the National Cocoa and Chocolate Days, Agriculture Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné defended the farm gate price of 1,200 FCFA for the 2026-2027 season, despite producers' protests. The National Agricultural Union for Progress in Côte d'Ivoire filed a strike notice, demanding a revision of the sector's management. Koné explained that this price reflects global market trends and emphasized the need for better communication regarding price-setting mechanisms.
