COCOBOD relaunches free fertilizer programme with 3.5 million bags for cocoa farmers

The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has relaunched its free input distribution programme for the 2026 cocoa farming season. It plans to provide farmers with 3.5 million bags of fertilizer, 1.8 million litres of liquid fertilizer, 2.3 million litres of insecticides and 1.5 million kilogrammes of fungicides at no cost. The programme was officially launched in Sefwi Wiawso, Western North Region, on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Motorists becoming more responsible after TraffiTech deployment, NRSA says

Ghana’s National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) says motorists’ behaviour has improved since the introduction of the automated traffic enforcement system TRAFFITECH-GH. Henry Asomani, the NRSA’s Deputy Director of Planning and Programmes and its focal person for the system, attributed the change to greater awareness of the consequences of traffic violations. He said motorists were becoming more cautious because violations could be detected and penalised.
