Coke and mirrors? Adams challenges JP Smith to drug test

National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams challenged Cape Town safety and security Mayco member JP Smith to take a public drug test following rumours of cocaine use. In a Facebook video posted on Sunday, Adams proposed that both men provide samples and wait together for the results. Smith rejected the challenge and pointed to allegations by former members that Adams took money from gangsters to fund his party. The exchange comes amid claims that Adams approached a lawyer reportedly known for representing gangsters after his arrest by the Political Killings Task Team.
