Collapsed houses and flooded fields after rain in Mbanza-Ngungu

On April 9, heavy rains caused the collapse of twenty houses and flooding of fields in the Luzolo neighborhood, Boko sector, in Mbanza-Ngungu. Victor Nzuzi, president of the Luzolo Lua Toma agricultural cooperative, reported that over forty straw houses were also severely damaged. He calls on authorities to provide emergency assistance to help farmers rebuild their homes and prevent an imminent food crisis in the region.
