Comoros: one dead during law enforcement intervention against protesters

On Saturday, a young man was killed during a law enforcement intervention in Anjouan as protesters demonstrated against rising fuel prices linked to the situation in the Middle East. A general strike, initiated by the main transport union, has paralyzed the country for six days, with a 46% increase in diesel prices. The prosecutor confirmed one death and five injuries, some from gunfire, during the clashes.
