Concession of Kings College stalls resumption of unity colleges

The 155 unity colleges run by the Federal Government did not resume academic activities on Monday as parents refused to send their children back after the long holiday. This situation is a fallout from the concession of Kings College in Lagos to the Old Boys Association, which parents oppose. Mr. Ayopo Somefun, Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association of Unity Colleges in the South-West, stated that the schools would remain closed until the FG rescinds the decision.
