Confrontation between police and youth in the Afia 3 neighborhood of Yeumbeul

On the night of June 11-12, 2026, a police operation to arrest a suspected drug trafficker identified by the initials I.N. turned violent in the Afia 3 neighborhood of Yeumbeul. Youths threw stones at officers, injuring one policeman in the eye. Police responded with warning shots to disperse the attackers. I.N. was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and assaulting officers.
