Congress passes sweeping US sanctions bill targeting Russia

The United States House of Representatives passed a bipartisan sanctions bill targeting Russia due to its ongoing war in Ukraine, with a final vote of 262 to 159. This bill, championed by the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, allows the president to impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries importing energy supplies from Russia.
