Consultations on the Electoral Body: Rémi Yao Ebrin Denounces the Non-Invitation of PEC-CI

Rémi Yao Ebrin, president of the Ivorian Citizens Engagement Platform (PEC-CI), denounces that PEC-CI was not invited to the government consultations on establishing the new electoral body, despite its 37 member organizations and experience in electoral observation. He questions the criteria used to select invited organizations and recalls that PEC-CI signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Ministry of Cohesion in November 2024. He considers that this absence questions the representativeness of the actors involved in the electoral process.
