Electricity consumers in Nigeria paid about N1.2 trillion for power consumed in the first six months of 2026, according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). In June, the DisCos recorded a collection of N191.68 billion, representing a 7.9% decline from May. Billing efficiency also decreased to 76.24% in June, with a gap of N48.85 billion between the billed amount and the revenue collected.
