Continued intense fighting between AFC-M23 and Wazalendo coalition in Masisi

Intense fighting continues in Masisi, North Kivu, between AFC-M23 rebels and the Wazalendo coalition, allied with FARDC, for three days. The sectors of Katoyi and Osso-Banyungu, as well as the Nyamaboko 1st grouping, are particularly affected, with heavy and light weapon fire heard. The Wazalendo coalition and FARDC have regained control of several villages, but the situation remains concerning as many residents flee to the bush.
