Corps members’ abduction: Engage local vigilantes in rescue operation — INC to security agencies

The Igbo National Council (INC) has advised authorities to fully involve local vigilantes in the ongoing rescue operation for NYSC members abducted in Imo State. The group commended the quick response of the IGP and the deployment of police, army, DSS, and other security agencies, emphasizing the importance of integrating credible community vigilantes with knowledge of local terrains. INC urged authorities to inform families, pursue justice for the perpetrators, and call on the public to share credible information to facilitate the victims' rescue.
