Côte d'Ivoire: "Reconciling Youth with the Republic"

The article examines the gap between the aspirations of young Ivorians and their daily reality, marked by unemployment and precariousness. The author calls for revisiting the notion of national discipline as a common project rather than a vertical injunction. He warns that a marginalized youth will eventually remind the Nation of its existence, rarely in a peaceful manner. Listening, lucidity and humanity are presented as necessary responses.
