Cotton: Togo maintains purchase prices and subsidizes inputs for 2026–2027

For the 2026–2027 cotton season, the NSCT and FNGPC are keeping the seed-cotton purchase price at 300 CFA francs per kilogram for first grade and 280 CFA francs for second grade. Fifty-kilogram bags of NPKSB and urea remain priced at 14,000 CFA francs each, and rates for crop-protection products are also unchanged. The government earmarked 5.8 billion CFA francs in 2026 to finance 21,000 tonnes of fertilizer amid rising international input costs. Togo is targeting 105,000 tonnes of seed cotton across 105,000 hectares; by July 31, 2026, planted area had reached 115,980 hectares.
