Court Allows 21 More Days for Detention of GSU Officer Over Nurse’s Killing

A General Service Unit (GSU) officer has been granted an additional 21 days in custody following the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old nurse on August 30. The suspect, reportedly part of the Uasin Gishu governor's security detail, fired several rounds at a GSU officers' mess, killing the woman. Uasin Gishu Police Commander stated that the officer fled the scene before being apprehended after an overnight search.
