Court blocks Kenya from seizing Burundi firm’s cash

Kenya’s Court of Appeal in Nairobi upheld the dismissal of the Assets Recovery Agency's attempt to freeze $274,369 from Burundi-based EIS Afrika Group Ltd. The agency failed to prove a connection between the funds and criminal activity, preventing the Kenyan authorities from seizing the money. This marks the second failed attempt by the agency to confiscate the funds.
