Court freezes Multiple Hauliers insolvency row in Sh532m debt claim

The High Court in Nairobi has halted insolvency proceedings against logistics firm Multiple Hauliers (EA) Ltd, ruling that a Court of Appeal stay order covers both the administration and liquidation cases, which were consolidated. The decision blocks creditors, including Synergy Industrial Credit claiming Sh532 million, until the appeal is determined. Total debts exceed Sh31.4 billion against assets of Sh17 billion. Major creditors include NCBA Bank (Sh7.2 billion), KCB Bank and Co-operative Bank (Sh8.82 billion).
