The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Head of Directors of the National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria (NICON) to account for their roles in the liquidated company over the past seven years. This ruling follows a petition filed by Chukwuma-Machukwu Ume, the liquidator of the country's largest insurance firm. The affected directors are also required to preserve NICON's assets and make a comprehensive disclosure of the assets under oath before the Commissioner of Oath at the Federal High Court.
