CPR Dooleel PIT breaks with PIT leadership and pledges support for Pastef

The Committee for the Reflection Platform (CPR) Dooleel PIT-Senegal has formally distanced itself from the leadership of the Party of Independence and Work (PIT), accusing it of abandoning the historical ideals of the left. During a press conference on July 15, the CPR reaffirmed its support for the political project of PASTEF and called for accelerated reforms. Founded in December 2020, the CPR denounces the marginalization of its critical members and the PIT's political choices, including its support for successive regimes.
