‘Criminality is staring you in the face’: Madlanga Commission questions stalled JMPD cases

Sergeant Rico van Wyk told the Madlanga Commission he identified two JMPD officers linked to an alleged kidnapping and extortion. Officers Johannes Mokgatle and Zwelibanzi Mgujulwa, who were part of his K9 unit, faced no action after being identified. Van Wyk also contacted the victim, who claimed he and his child were held hostage and about R5 million was taken from his residence.
